TEN MAN SONS FIGHT FOR DRAW

Chris Craig heads for goal.

It was a well earned draw, as Czech keeper Jan Vodacek was sent off in the 42nd minute when he was adjudged by referee Stevie O'Reilly as having fouled striker Scott Dalziel when he was the last defender.Earlier the keeper had produced a string of brilliant saves, including a penalty, and his successor, Michael White, also made some great stops.
To the surprise of the home fans, manager Jim Chapman dropped skipper Michael Dunlop and striker Denis McLaughlin — and they could not even find places on the bench — as he tried to find a blend which could produce a first league win.
However John Coughlin's Stenny were much the better side in the first half and their defence was rarely troubled by the home team.
In the second half ten man Sons defended stoutly and the visitors gradually lost their way and the game meandered towards a scoreless draw.
