SONS BEAT LEADERS
23-Jan-2010
Keiran Brannan sets up fellow sub Ross Clark to net the late winner.
The visitors, led by ex-Son Craig Winter, dominated the first half and had the bulk of the possession, but could only register one goal when Mark Baxter beat keeper Jan Vojacek from close range midway through the half.
Whatever Sons manager Jim Chapman said at half-time, his side were a completely different proposition after the break.
The equaliser finally arrived in the 64th minute when a cross reached striker Roddy Hunter at the far post, and he made no mistake from close range.
Sons kept attacking, but a draw looked the likely outcome. However the manager sent on subs Keiran Brannan and Ross Clark, and they combined in the 90th minute when the youngster crossed for the experienced midfielder to clinch a thrilling victory.
