Helensburgh Retailers Association chose UK Talking Newspaper Week to make a presentation to Headline Helensburgh, Scotland's oldest talking newspaper for the blind and otherwise visually handicapped.
Incoming association chairman David Campbell presented the cheque for £1,300 to Headline Helensburgh chairman Donald Fullarton at the Stewarts of Helensburgh premises in West Princes Street.
Also in the picture is Gerry McGregor, who as the association's Ball convener was largely responsible for raising the cash.
Said Mr Fullarton: “This is one of the largest donations Headline Helensburgh has ever received in its 31 year history, and secures our financial future for several years.
“All the volunteers who compile and distribute our twice-a-month cassettes of local news, and our 100 listeners, join with me in expressing our very sincere thanks to the Retailers Association.”
